
Our commitments are:
- to further the development of education for
women;
- to improve the status of women and children;
- to protect human rights;
- to promote peace.
To achieve these we:
- encourage and support members to undertake higher
education or further studies;
- foster understanding, international cooperation and
friendship among women graduates, irrespective of race, nationality, religion
or political opinions;
- undertake advocacy and consultancies for the
solution of problems in areas of public life and participate in decision-making
at local, national and international levels;
- sponsor conferences, seminars, workshops, research,
project and training programmes.

Does SAWG network with other NGOs?
Locally, SAWG networks with the Samoa National Council of Women and other NGOs.
Individual members belong to a number of local NGOs. Regionally, SAWG
maintains close links with:
What else do we do? SAWG members can
ask for introductions to members of the International Federation of University
Women (IFUW). Those travelling should contact the SAWG council at least four
weeks before the start of a trip. |
